Vaastu means balance, harmonious and soorthing enviornment in a structure. This involves balance in ten directions available in the universe.

These directions provide subtle energies which can be sensed like gravitional , solar magnetic energy, airflow etc. When we build a structure the flow and availabilty of all the energies has to be taken care of. If these energies are not harmonious in structure vaastu defects are created and our life becomes diffcult. If there is harmony in all energies, we call it positive enviornment and if not harmonious it could be called as negative enviornment.

North:  North direction is owned by lord kuber . Lord kuber is god for money. Keep the north direction light and beautiful. North direction gives the north pole energy. Keeping the direction heavy or dirty the north pole energy flow is hindered and thus the occupants of the house gets affected. There should be maximum no of windows and doors in the north direction. Its best color is lemon yellow.

Northeast:   It is a direction for lord shiva. This direction is very sensitive. It is a direction for life. This direction gives us magnetic energy. The flow of this energy should not be hindered. There should be no toilet, store or stairs in this direction.Bedrooms for couples in this area is not good. Its best color is dark yellow.

East:   East direction is owned by lord Indra. It is a direction for overall prosperity. It is a direction for sunrise. Again this area should not have a toilet.
