New Year's Day is the perfect time to celebrate the ushering of a new era and it is the very brilliance of the New Year drinks enlaced with all its romance and class, which further adds to the aura of the New Year's party. New Year, the time to welcome a new and bright year and the ideal occasion to say good-bye to the previous year is no doubt the happiest moment for people all over the world.This happiness is often exhibited with the romantic charm of New Year drinks along with the luxurious presence of the delicious traditional food, which is merged with the festive.

New Year's Day is the perfect time to celebrate the ushering of a new era and it is the very brilliance of the New Year drinks enlaced with all its romance and class, which further adds to the aura of the New Year's party.

New Year, the time to welcome a new and bright year and the ideal occasion to say good-bye to the previous year is no doubt the happiest moment for people all over the world. No New Year party is complete without the drinks. Some preferred drinks that can be served during the New Year are given below:

Fresh Ginger Ale (For children and non-alcoholics)

Ingredients :

  • 2 Cups (10 ounces approx.) of peeled and coarsely chopped fresh Ginger.
  • 3 Strips Lemon Peel (4 inches approx.).
  • 1-1/2 Cups Sugar.
  • 3 Quarts of Chilled Club Soda.
  • Ice cubes.

Preparation :

  • Take ginger and lemon peel and add it in 4-cups of water in a pan.
  • Heat until it reaches its boiling point. Reduce flame and boil gently, uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Add 1-1/2 cups sugar and continue boiling and stirring until mixture is reduced to 3 cups, for about 15 minutes longer.
  • Pour this mixture through a fine wire strainer firmly set over a bowl.
  • After you discard the peel, you can reserve the ginger for another use or discard it as well.
  • Cool the syrup at room temperature, cover it and refrigerate until cold.
  • Serve chilled with ice.

Pina Colada

Ingredients :

  • White Rum - 2 Shots.
  • Pineapple Juice - 4 Shots.
  • Cream - 1 Shot.
  • Coconut Cream - 1 Shot.

Preparation :

  • Blend all the above with some crushed ice and serve chilled in a hurricane glass.

Blue Lagoon

Ingredients :

  • Vodka - 2 Shots.
  • Dey Kuyper Blue Curacao - 2 Shots.
  • Lemonade - To top it up.

Preparation :

  • Pour the Vodka and Dey Kuyper Blue Curacao in a highball glass filled with ice halfway.
  • Fill with lemonade, garnish with a slice of lime and serve chilled.

Lime Margaritas

Ingredients :

  • 1 oz tequila.
  • 1/2 oz Triple Sec.
  • 1 oz lime juice, fresh squeezed.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar.
  • kosher Salt (optional).
  • lime wedge (optional).
  • crushed ice or ice cubes.

Preparation :

  • If you're going to salt the glass, take your lime wedge or a bit of triple sec and rub around edge of glass. Turn upside down and press rim into salt.

Waborita

Ingredients :

  • 2 oz premium Cabo Wabo tequila.
  • 2 oz lime juice, fresh squeezed.
  • 2 oz Cointreau.
  • ice.
  • kosher salt (optional for rim of glass).

Preparation :

  • Mix tequila, lime juice and cointreau in a shaker and blend well. Pour over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.
