Ingredients :
- 2 cup Basmati rice.
- 1 tsp Channa dal.
- 1 tsp Urad dal.
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida (heeng).
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds.
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
- 2 tsp Ghee.
- Juice of 2 lemons, and
- Salt to taste.
Preparation :
- Wash and clean the rice thoroughly.
- Boil it in 1/4 litre of water till done.
- Heat the Ghee in a separate shallow pan.
- Add mustard seeds, channa dal, Urad dal, asafoetida and turmeric powder to it.
- Fry lightly till it emits fragrance.
- Mix well with cooked rice for flavor.
- Add salt to the lemon juice and pour it over rice and mix well.
- Serve hot.
