This Homam is performed for long and happy married life. If someone is not getting married (delayed marriage), and facing problems in marital life, he/she can perform this Homam for a successful married life. The sixth aspect of Devi is Katyayani. Devi took human form and was born to sage Katyayan, hence she was named as Katyayani. This 6th Shakti is also astride a lion with 3 eyes and 4 arms. One left hand holds a weapon and the other a lotus. The other 2 hands respectively display defending and granting gestures. Her complexion is golden colored. Katyayani is the creative force of nature. Legend has it that all the gopis used to pray to Katyayani Devi to get Shri Krishna as their beloved. Katyayani is the force behind the mental power that controls life and death. Her 3rd eye symbolizes the inner eye which looks deep into everything. Mantal and spiritual power creates complete control over mind and body and by virtue of it a person can become “Jitendriya” . This Homam is basically meant for people who want to get married and are in the process of finding out their life partners.
