Graha Pravesha is entering a newly built house for the first time which is a very important occasion for a family. As per Hindu rituals, there needs to be some Puja Performed for making the entry to the newly built home very auspicious. It is believed that the Puja needs to be performed to prevent harmful influences of the planets, remove negative vibrations and create a peaceful environment. Once the pooja is concluded, a feast is offered to the priest. He is also given some dakshina or fees for his services and good wishes.
