Dr. Vivek Nair is Board Certified Dermatology and Laser Specialist. He completed his Residency in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology from Maulana Azad Medical College in 2007. He is trained in all aspects of Dermatology, including medical dermatology such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, urticaria, STD's as well as cosmetic dermatology like scar treatment, hyperpigmentation management, anti-ageing therpaies, Lasers, Botox, Dermal Fillers, Mesotherapy, Lipodissolve, Chemical Peels, Electrical Dermabrasion, Subcision, and UV light therapy.
Dr. Nair received his medical degree with a Gold Medal from Maulana Azad Medical College, one of India's premier medical institutions. After completing his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Dr Nair spent six years at the Dermatology Deptt. of Lok Nayak Hospital. He excelled during his time there, topping the MD Dermatology Exam (Delhi Univ) in 2007, for which he was awarded the Dr V.N. Sehgal Gold Medal for Excellence in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology. That same year his work on the surgical treatment of post-acne scarring won him the 'Best Young Dermatologist of the year' award at the annual conference of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists, Delhi Chapter.
After working as senior resident in Lok Nayak Hospital during 2007-10 he set up his own practice, 'Dr Nair's Skin Clinic', in Palam Vihar, Gurgaon. Dr Nair is also a visiting consultant at Clinic Dermatech (Vasant Vihar & Gurgaon), Umkal Hospital (Palam Vihar, JSR Nursing Home (Gurgaon) and an ex-consultant at Fortis Aashlok Hospital (Safdarjung Enclave).
Dr Nair continues to maintain an interest in academia and among other papers has co-authored a chapter on sexually transmitted diseases in 'Treatments for Skin of Color', an International Elsevier Publication (USA). He is a member of the Indian Academy of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology, Indian Society of Paediatric Dermatology and an associate member of the International Society of Dermatology (USA). He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Cutaneous & Aesthetic Surgery.
