Teacher's Day recipes provide you with the recipes of a number of dishes you can make for our teacher on Teacher's Day. You can cook a nice dish yourself and take it to the school for your teacher on Teacher's Day. Even a better idea is to
invite your teacher for Lunch or Dinner at your home.
There are a number of receipes for Teacher's Day:
Chocolate Chip Cookies :
Ingredients :
- 150 gms Flour.
- 125 gms Sugar.
- 120 gms Butter.
- 1 Egg.
- ½ tsp Baking Soda.
- ½ tsp Salt.
- Chocolate Chips.
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence.
Preparation :
- Mix butter and sugar till soft and fluffy.
- Add eggs to the above mixture, one at a time.
- Now add vanilla essence.
- Sieve together flour, baking soda and salt. Add this to the above-prepared mixture and mix well.
- Add chocolate chips and mix well.
- Refrigerate the dough for half an hour.
- Grease the baking tray with a little oil.
- Put spoonfuls of the dough on the sheet.
- Preheat the oven at 190 deg C for 2-3 min.
- Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 8-10 min.
- Taste a cookie to check whether it is completely cooked or not. Otherwise, bake for 1-2 min more.
Chocolate Cake :
Ingredients :
- 2 cups Flour.
- 2 cups Sugar.
- 150 gms Butter.
- 2 Egg.
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder.
- 1 tsp Baking Powder.
- 1 cup Strong Coffee.
Preparation :
- Cream the butter and sugar together till soft and creamy.
- Add eggs to the butter-sugar mix, one at a time.
- Sieve flour, cocoa and baking powder and add to the above mixture.
- Add coffee and mix well.
- Grease a baking dish with oil or butter. Put the above-prepared batter in it.
- Preheat oven at 180 deg C for 2-3 min.
- Grease the baking tray with a little oil.
- Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 35-45 min.
- After the aroma from the cake starts coming, slide a thin knife in the center of the cake. If the knife comes out clean, the cake is ready. Otherwise, bake for a few min more.
Kheer :
Ingredients :
- 1/4 cup Rice.
- 1 litre Milk.
- 4 tbsp Sugar.
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder.
- Almonds and cashew nuts (sliced).
- Raisins.
Preparation :
- Boil milk in a heavy saucepan.
- Add rice, cardamom powder, raisins and half quantity of sliced almonds and cashew nuts.
- Bring one boil and then reduce the heat to medium.
- Cook until it becomes thick and creamy.
- Stir occasionally.
- Add sugar and cook for 5 minutes.
- Garnish kheer with the remaining dry fruits.
- Refrigerate and serve.
Veg Pizza :
Ingredients :
- 1 Pizza Base.
- 1 cup pizza sauce.
- 1/4 tsp Salt.
- Pinch of Pepper.
- 2 cups Fresh mushrooms (chopped).
- 1 cup Broccoli.
- 1/2 cup Green Capsicum (chopped).
- 1/2 cups Onions (chopped).
- 1 cup Pizza Cheese (grated).
Preparation :
- Steam mushrooms & broccoli but do not over cook.
- Sauté capsicum and onions.
- Spread sauce over pizza crust.
- Top the sauce with all the vegetables.
- Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Preheat oven to 200° C.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until crust is brown.
